The Laughing Boy -Frans Hals (Art Museum Mauritshuis) I took pic in The Hague, Netherlands with Holden I hold a little blue box With joy. A locket of hair. Its browns and golds sparkle In the light. When you were three You asked your mom to cut your hair. It floored her you know. A show of your independence. A show of her act of love. For your mom to snip your curls. Elizabeth Walking in Galata Cihanger Traveling in Turkey has kept me from being able to access the internet. I have SO many things to show and write about, too many for this short blog entry today. The internet I have today is only in the hotel lobby. I can't even access it in the evening in my room. If I close down the computer, I have to put all the info in again to log on. I'll Never..........Give Up!

I’m in a mood this morning. It’s my own self-generated mood. I feed the mood spoonful by spoonful. I’ve kept it stoked on medium-fire for a few morning hours. When I let myself wallow in self-pity or plain old sadness I find it easier, in the long run, to move through it and move on. If I don’t think it through and repress all the garbage that goes with a mood, I eventually have to take the time to unravel the facts from my own made-up stories to move on anyway. I might as well do the work while the stories I spin are fresh off the press. I’ve been dating a man for a relatively short time, on and off. I’ve been somewhat like a roller coaster with him. I want to get to know him, I don’t want to get to know him. I like him, but I don’t want to like him. I say I’m not ready and then I change my mind and I want to see him and spend time with him.
